Attn: Animal Rescues: Funding available from an ASPCA grant

The New York State Animal Population Control Program is a 5-year, $5 million low-cost spay/neuter grant program administered by the ASPCA on behalf of the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets.
Municipal, County, and non-profit shelters; spay/neuter providers; and spay/neuter facilitating organizations are encouraged to submit requests for funding to provide spay/neuter services to eligible pet populations inNew York Stateexcluding New York City.
Proposals must outline purchases, plans, or programs dedicated to spaying and neutering cats and dogs who fit into one of the following two categories:
·  Dogs and cats adopted by New York residents from New York-based non-profit shelters or government animal agencies
·  Dogs and cats owned by New York residents who qualify for public assistance
