Pennsylvania Senate considering a ban on exotic pets

The PA senate is considering a bill which would ban the private possession of exotic animals which would be deemed dangerous, such as lions, tigers, bears, wolves coyotes, bobcats cougars, cheetahs, leopards, jaguars and monkeys and other primates.

Currently it is legal for private citizens to keep such animals with a permit purchased from the PA Game Commission.

The House Bill is number 1398.
